Fresh Family LLC Wins Participatory Budgeting Award for Training Program!


We are thrilled to announce that Fresh Family LLC has been awarded $220,000 through the King County Participatory Budgeting Program
to launch our "Building Futures with Fresh Family – Living Wage Job Training Program"!


This training program is designed to empower residents of the Skyway/West Hill community by providing them with the skills, certifications, and opportunities they need to build meaningful, living-wage careers in the construction and labor industries.

Through this program, we will:

  • Train participants in critical skills such as construction safety, hazardous material handling, equipment operation, and more.
  • Emergen Provide industry-recognized certifications like OSHA 30, CPR, and first aid.cy Encampment Clean-Up
  • Support low-income residents in securing sustainable jobs and transforming their lives.

This program represents Fresh Family LLC's continued commitment to equity, community empowerment, and workforce development. We are so grateful to the Skyway/West Hill community for voting for this project and to King County Local Services for investing in our vision! About the Participatory Budgeting Program


The King County Participatory Budgeting Program allows residents to shape their community by deciding how public funds are spent. This program addresses systemic racial inequities and invests in historically underserved urban areas, such as Skyway/West Hill, East Renton, Fairwood, and White Center/North Highline.

Since its inception in 2021, the program has funded 89 community-driven projects with over $22 million in investments.
